Rebecca Scritchfield is an experienced speaker and writer who gets the point across. Along with Bernie Salazar (NBC’s Biggest Loser), Rebecca is the co-creator of The Nurture Principles. She is the sports nutrition columnist for the print and electronic versions of Washington Running Report, a publication of Running Network and Tri-DC magazine. She runs two syndicated blogs and has written articles on diverse topics related to food and nutrition for print and the web. In 2008, she co-authored an academic text on food culture. She is working on her first e-book, which she will make available for download on her website.

Rebecca has extensive training and experience in social media monitoring and engagement. A blogger herself, Rebecca knows what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to cultivating online relationships with target audiences.

Uniquely Qualified
Rebecca worked for six years in information technology prior to changing careers to nutrition. She earned a Master’s degree in Communications from The Johns Hopkins University. With a focus on the media and consumer behavior, Rebecca tracks food and nutrition trends like it’s her full time job. She’s on top of the latest news and developments and she’s shares her thoughts and opinions candidly, which makes her an interesting expert guest for the media.
