Medical Nutrition Therapy
“Let food be thy medicine, and let thy medicine be food.” - Hippocrates

Medical Nutrition Therapy is an essential component of comprehensive health care services. Individuals with a variety of conditions and illnesses can improve their health and quality of life by receiving medical nutrition therapy. MNT can increase consumer’s health and well-being, and increase productivity and satisfaction levels through decreased doctor visits, hospitalizations and reduced prescription drug use.
Medical nutrition therapy provided by a Registered Dietitian includes a:
- review of what you eat and your eating habits,
- thorough review of your nutritional health, and
- personalized nutrition treatment plan.
Working together, we will set nutrition goals to improve your health. The first visit will generally take one hour. After the first session, I will schedule several follow-up appointments to check on your progress and see if changes are needed in your nutrition goals and treatment plan. Ask your doctor if a referral for medical nutrition therapy provided by a Registered Dietitian can improve your health.
